Cash Market Readiness Newsflash | CCP: Change of custody type for Spanish and Portuguese ISINs Cash Market Readiness Newsflash | CCP: Change of custody type for Spanish and Portuguese ISINs

Dear Cash Market Participant,

We would like to draw your attention regarding the change of custody type for the Spanish and Portuguese ISINs traded on Xetra and Börse Frankfurt from NCSC to CSC.

As Clearstream Banking S.A. (CBL) has appointed Clearstream Banking AG (CBF) as its single gateway to the T2S settlement platform, Iberclear and Interbolsa T2S-eligible securities will migrate to CBF as of 27 November 2020 (Spain) resp. 11 December 2020 (Portugal).

Those equity trades, concluded before the conversion and with (intended at actual) Settlement Date after the conversion, will settle in CBF with custody type CSC or NCSC-T. Equity trades performed after the conversion will settle in CBF with custody type CSC. There is no change with regards to bond trades, as settlement via ICSDs as today will be kept in place.

For further details, please refer to Clearstream´s announcements C20022, issued on 2 June 2020 and to C20042, issued on 22 September 2020.
