Introduction of Next Generation T7 Web Based GUIs
039/2025 Introduction of Next Generation T7 Web Based GUIs Xetra Circular 039/25
1. Introduction
In 2025, Deutsche Börse is unveiling a new generation of graphical user interfaces for the T7 trading system that will enhance the user experience and greatly simplify maintenance. Over time, this new generation of graphical user interfaces will be replacing the original T7 GUIs introduced at the T7 trading system's launch.
Unlike the original T7 Trader, Admin, and Clearer GUIs, which require Java runtime installations, periodic updates, and a launching mechanism, the new T7 Web App GUIs significantly reduce maintenance, while providing a modern, state-of-the-art, lightweight UI that retains all the functionality of the Java-based version.
Users simply need a modern web browser and a matching client certificate to access the updated GUIs, making operations smoother and more convenient.
2. Required action
It is highly recommended for users of the existing Java-based T7 Clearer GUI to test the new browser-based T7 Web Clearer in the T7 Simulation environment. Testing will ensure a smooth transition and allow users to quickly familiarize themselves with the usage and the look and feel of the new T7 Web App family of GUIs.
Client certificates
The new T7 Web App GUIs offer a highly simplified process for handling client certificates replacing the T7 GUI keys of the java-based GUIs.
Client certificates signed by the Deutsche Börse PKI can be effortlessly downloaded from the DBAG Member Section at any time and are immediately usable for the T7 Web App GUIs without any delay. Additionally, the revocation of potentially compromised client certificates can be performed in real-time, ensuring enhanced security and efficiency.
Client certificates are created specifically for the desired access path (Simulation/Production, Internet/Leased Line, and market) and can only be used in the access path they have been created for.
Client certificates are a mandatory requirement for Internet and Leased Line access.

Rollout timeline for the new T7 Web GUIs
The new web-based GUIs for the T7 trading system will be introduced gradually across several releases. Each new GUI will initially be available alongside its Java-based predecessor for one release cycle, ensuring a smooth transition before the web version fully replaces it.
This process begins with the launch of the T7 Web Clearer. Following this, the T7 Web Admin will be introduced in Q2/2026 in Simulation and in Q3/2026 in Production. The transition will culminate with the release of the T7 Web Trader, expected to debut at a later point in time, but not prior to 2027.
This strategic rollout allows users to adapt seamlessly to the modern interface and improved usability of the new web-based GUIs.
Existing documentation extended for the T7 Web App family
A new chapter featuring IP addresses and URLs for the T7 Web App family has been incorporated into the existing "N7 Network Access Guide". Additionally, a new document titled "T7 Web App Connectivity Guide" has been created, providing comprehensive details about supported browsers and the handling of required client certificates. Both documents can be found in the T7 14.0 Release Documentation: T7 Release 14.0 the sections "GUI Solutions" and “Network Access”.
