Employee participation programmes have established themselves, not only for start-ups, as an important component of remuneration packages and as an indispensable instrument for employee retention. German law offers various options for employee participation and their design, each of which has its own legal and tax characteristics. The decision in favour of one form depends on many factors and cannot be easily reversed. But what framework conditions do (young) companies have to consider in order to implement a successful employee participation programme that is precisely tailored to the needs of the company and what tax and labour law particularities have to be taken into account?
Dr Jens-Uwe Hinder and Hanno Timner from the Berlin office of Morrison Foerster will give you valuable insights into these questions.
- Dr Jens-Uwe Hinder (partner for tax law) has been advising national and international institutional and private investors on tax law issues for more than 20 years.
- Hanno Timner (partner for employment law and data protection) has been advising and representing leading national and international clients in all employment law disputes and issues, as well as in relation to all data protection matters, for more than two decades.
- Dr. Monika Obal (counsel of corporate law) has been focusing on domestic and cross-border M&A transactions and on general corporate matters.
The speakers look forward to your interest and an exciting discussion.
