Review
The German Equity Forum remains one of the most influential conferences on corporate finance. Its relevance is not limited to the German capital market which is underlined by the anually increasing number of international participants. In a partnership with KfW, the Deutsche Börse AG organises the German Equity Forum for entrepreneurs, investors and analysts from the financial industry to provide a platform for a wide range of information exchange. This year the three-day event was hosted at the Sheraton Frankfurt Airport Hotel & Conference Center from 23 to 25 November. The participants were able to visit more than 200 corporate presentations from equity or bond issuers and non-listed companies. In addition, a forum program with keynote speeches and panel discussions took place. An essential component are the one-on-one meetings between investors and entrepreneurs. In total, almost 2,000 participants were counted and 2,500 one-on-one meetings were held. The third day of the German Equity Forum focussed at non-listed companies and put growth financing in the foreground. During this so-called "Venture Day" the ,Investor Talks' of the Deutsche Börse Venture Network were held. Here, investors and company representatives of the network were provided with a platform for personal interaction. The date for the next German Equity Forum is set for 21 to 23 November 2016.
