For the 18th time Deutsche Börse Capital Market Partner Deloitte is presenting the Technology Fast 50 Award this year, which will honour fifty tech companies and start-ups from Germany with outstanding growth rates.

These include companies from the following sectors:

• Biotechnology / Pharmaceutical
• Energy Technology
• Communications
• Digital Content / Media / Entertainment
• Hardware
• Medical Devices
• Software
• FinTech

In addition to a wide media coverage and increased attention, the winners benefit from access to a strong network in which new cooperation opportunities arise, access to capital is facilitated and new customers can be attracted.

The participation criteria for companies:

• Innovative technology that is at the heart of the company and for which the rights are held by the company
• The company was founded no less than four years ago
• Turnover in 2016 was at least € 50,000 and in 2019 at least € 1 million
• The headquarters of the company is in Germany (subsidiaries and departments of operating companies are excluded from participation, unless individual shares are held by third parties and the company is traded separately on the stock exchange)

In October the applications will be evaluated and in November the winners will be announced. Deutsche Börse Cash Market has been a sponsor of this competition for many years. 

In 2018, two companies listed on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange won the prestigious prizes. The Innovation Award, which is awarded for a particularly innovative business model, product or technology, was won by Mynaric AG, which celebrated its IPO in 2017. And Deloitte awarded Evotec AG with the Sustained Excellence Award for sustained successful growth.
