New Goldman Sachs ETF on Xetra: Smart Beta Emerging Markets
Since Thursday a new Exchange Traded Fund of Goldman Sachs Asset Management is tradable via Xetra and Börse Frankfurt.
The Goldman Sachs ActiveBeta Emerging Markets Equity UCITS ETF enables investors to invest in emerging market equities. These securities are equities of companies that are either domiciled in emerging markets or generate a large part of their profits or income there.
The underlying benchmark index, Goldman Sachs ActiveBeta Emerging Markets Equity Index, uses a patented methodology to overweight and underweight the equities in the index based on various factors. The factors are "Value", "Momentum", "Quality" and "Low Volatility". This approach aims to achieve either a higher return or a lower risk compared to a traditional market capitalisation weighting.
