New Lyxor ETFs on Xetra: US and German Government Bonds

Four new ETFs from Lyxor International Asset Management have been tradable on Xetra and Börse Frankfurt since Tuesday.

The new ETFs give investors the opportunity to participate directly in changes in the German and US yield curve using a systematic strategy.

If the slope of the curve rises by 1 basis point, an increase (steepening) or decrease (flattening) of the indices by approx. 7 basis points is expected. The indices in each case consist of two basic components:

Steepening: Long position in 2-year US Treasury bond or Euro Schatz futures and a short position in 10-year US Treasury Ultra bond or Euro Bund futures.

Flattening: Short position in 2-year US Treasury bond or Euro Schatz futures and a long position in 10-year US Treasury Ultra bond or Euro Bund futures.
