New UBS ETFs on Xetra: Sustainable investments in equities worldwide and carry trade on different maturities of commodity futures
Since Thursday, two new ETFs of UBS Global Asset Management have been tradable on Xetra and Börse Frankfurt.
The UBS ETF (IE) MSCI World Socially Responsible UCITS ETF (USD) A-dis gives investors the opportunity to invest in a global selection of equities from 23 industrialised countries. Investors focus on companies that meet sustainability criteria. Companies with significant business activities in nuclear energy, tobacco, coal, alcohol, gambling, weapons and genetically modified organisms are excluded from the index. Dividends are distributed to the shareholders. The annual costs amount to 0.25 per cent.
The UBS ETF (IE) CMCI Commodity Carry SF UCITS ETF (hedged to EUR) A-acc gives investors access to a commodity strategy that simultaneously takes a short and long position in two commodity indices. Both indices contain the same commodities but have different future maturities. The goal is to maximise the rolling yield. Carry trades are trading strategies in which interest rate or, as in this case, fair value differences are exploited. The index has a 2.5 times leverage. Investors are hedged against currency risks against the euro. The annual costs amount to 0.34 per cent.
