Since Friday, a new exchange-traded fund issued by iShares has been tradable on Xetra and via Börse Frankfurt.
The iShares Global High Yield Corp Bond UCITS ETF EUR Hedged (Acc) allows investors to invest in a portfolio of high yield bonds issued by companies domiciled in developed countries. Fixed-income bonds with a rating below investment grade and a residual maturity of at least 1.5 years are considered in the selection process. The portfolio currently includes corporate bonds denominated in US dollars, euros, pounds sterling and Canadian dollars. The issuer cap is 3 per cent.
The ETF applies a hedging strategy to minimise the exchange rate risk between the base currency of the index constituents and the euro.
