Who we are

Berenberg was founded in 1590 and today is the oldest private bank in Germany and one of the oldest in the world. With assets of more than 40 billion Euro under management and roughly 1,500 employees, Berenberg offers services in private banking, investment banking and asset management.

Berenberg's Investment Banking activities include a broad spectrum of Capital Markets and Corporate Finance services.

In the Equity Capital Markets business we take a pan-European sectoral approach to our Research, Sales and Trading activities to service our institutional clients. For our corporate clients we are a trusted advisor with market leading execution capabilities for public offerings and share placements. Our Corporate Finance team provides services in the areas of IPO’s and capital increases, M&A, Structured Finance, Corporate Broking as well as Corporate Banking services. All our services are based on the principles of independence in advice as a privately-owned bank and our respect for confidentiality.
