Listen up: Podcast discussion "Direct (Public) Listing / Pre-IPO Private Placements" Not just something for (Tech-)IPOs in the US
There are several alternatives to the classic IPO - in this podcast episode we explain one of them in more detail. Direct Listing is a relatively new but interesting form to finance company growth via the capital market and has recently become very popular, especially with fast-growing companies in the technology sector.
In Direct Listing only existing, outstanding shares will be listed (employee and investor shares) without raising new capital.
Thomas Thurner, Managing Director & Head of Equity Capital Markets at Morgan Stanley, and Jasper Lembke, Lawyer/Listing & Issuer at Deutsche Börse AG, are in discussion with moderator Joël Kaczmarek.
The following questions will be answered in this podcast episode:
- Who should be interested in Direct Listing?
- What is the difference between an initial IPO and Direct Listing? What advantages does it offer for my company?
- What requirements do companies have to meet?
- What is the relevance of direct (public) listings in Germany?
- What effort (time, costs, preparation, etc.) do I have to expect as a company?
